INDUSTRIAL UNITS |
|
This sheet is an outline of information for those considering piled foundations for industrial units and is prepared in good faith.
As can be seen from the right hand photos, all work is carried out above ground level and generally requires much less preparation than is required for conventional piling machinery.
Advantages of the driven piling method we use for pile installation include: > No spoil production and hence no material to remove from the site > We use no wet materials; hence it is a clean operation, no need for wet concrete > All our piling machines are much smaller than conventional machines, enabling us to pile very close to and inside existing buildings
Precast Piling
Conventional piling (Low vibration) 250 x 250mm Square RC sections capable of 160.0 T (UL) 200 x 200mm “ “ “ “ “ 100.0 “ “
Mini-Piling (Very low vibration) 220mm Ø Pre-filled steel tubes “ “ 84.6 “ “ 168mm Ø Pre-filled steel tubes “ “ 49.3 “ “ 150mm Ø Pre-filled steel tubes “ “ 43.6 “ “
Dynamic Testing
Vibration Monitoring Monitoring for sites where excessive vibration could pose a problem to existing adjacent structures
Precast Ground Beams We can design, supply and fix complete ground beam* solutions for domestic and industrial applications. We can also provide for precast floor units, negating the need for in-situ ground work.
*These beams use full moment connections and provisions can be made for irregular floor plans, meaning fewer restrictions on the client.
