MINI PILNG |
GENERALOur system uses a 3 tonne (total weight) piling machine with a 1 tonne hydraulic hammer, which is self propelled on rubber tracks. The piles are pre-filled 3mm wall x (150 / 168 / 220) mm dia. tubes. The machine utilises a new technique for mini-piling, that of top driven, pre-filled tubes. Until recently, boring or internal bottom driving were the only mini pile driving methods available, however these are only suitable for low capacity piles1. We have addressed this problem by developing our own (patented) method of pile installation.
1Using the bottom driven method, the pile capacity and driving speed is seriously limited as a result of the hammer having to be small enough to fit inside the tube.

*Height of mast can be varied according to its application ADVANTAGES OF USING THE MINI PILING MACHINE > The dimensions when closed and folded means that the machine is generally able to access sites through existing door frames. > The tracked base allows for tight turning angles and easy travel over rough surfaces. > The smaller hammer means lower vibration and less noise to disturb the surrounding population. > Light weight means that it is possible to crane the machine in to difficult-to-reach places.
